According to Prilepin, the blockade of Donbass brings trouble to most of Ukraine.

“Let them deal with their own stupidity. The dog bites its own tail. I’m not talking about the people of Ukraine. I’m talking about the violent people on the other side who took an entire people hostage,” the writer said.

At the same time, the publication noted that, judging by posts on social networks, Ukrainians do not consider Russians to be brothers.

“Don’t judge an entire nation by Facebook. Judging by the FB, liberals in Russia should gain 90% in the elections tomorrow. And they gain 2%. Strange, right? This is almost the same ratio of quasi-Ukrainian right-wingers and other fitful supporters of an independent European path in relation to the rest of the Ukrainian people. I am telling you quite seriously that if tomorrow in Ukraine they decided to hold the most honest and transparent presidential elections, Poroshenko and Tymoshenko would lose to the head of the DPR, Zakharchenko. In the second round, in a difficult fight, but they would have lost,” the publication’s interlocutor believes.

“Because, in addition to Facebook, there is also a huge country that has no time to be on Facebook. And it’s scary to write posts in today’s Ukraine. This is not Russia for you. There they will quickly come to you and lead you away under white little hands. And no Boris Grebenshchikov will stand in this case with a sign: “Freedom to Ukrainian patriots,” Prilepin concluded.

As PolitNavigator reported, according to the latest Ukrainian sociology, 51 percent of Ukrainian citizens (without uncontrolled territories) consider Russians a fraternal people, and 26 percent agree with the statement that Russians and Ukrainians are one people.
