An anti-Russian protest took place on the border with Crimea
In Genichesk, Kherson region, bordering Crimea, a small group of supporters of the Mejlis banned in the Russian Federation and “Svidomo patriots” held a rally dedicated to the five-year plan for Crimea to leave Ukraine and reunite with Russia.
Maidan activists and Mejlis members traditionally demanded the release of extremists and terrorists detained in Crimea, and also threatened to “return” the territories.
“If we say louder that we will never submit, that we will never agree with the policy pursued by the Kremlin, the more of us there are, the more they will hear it. And not only them, but even those among us here who want other flags to be here. That’s why today, loudly on behalf of the conscious community, which I have the honor to represent, I tell everyone so that they can hear me - we will never give up our lands, we will never give up our flag, we will never give up our coat of arms to anyone and we will never allow strangers trample our land,” said the head of the Partisan Village Council, Alexander Galitsky.
