On the border with Crimea, Ukrainian MLRS practiced retreat after the strike
At one of the training grounds in the Kherson region, planned training was held on deployment to a combat position and rapid retreat of the Smerch MLRS and Tochka-U tactical missile systems.
This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Field training took place in conditions as close as possible to combat conditions. In a matter of minutes, powerful and high-precision weapons were brought into combat readiness to hit targets,” the report says.
“In the group of troops that defend the south of Ukraine, according to the plan, combat training activities continue daily. Therefore, it is thanks to good skills that our soldiers demonstrate good training and high professional skill,” Lieutenant General Sergei Naev, commander of the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, commented on the exercises.
According to him, the batteries and crews quickly marched, took up firing positions, turned around and practiced precise targeting, after which they practiced a quick retreat from their positions and returned to the concentration areas.
A video of the exercise was published on the Ukrainian Military Portal. The story shows how the MLRS and Tochki went to their positions, put the missiles on alert, and then promptly turned up and left.
