At Pushilin’s inauguration, guests from Russia promised Donbass life in a single state
Today, a solemn inauguration ceremony of the elected head of the republic, Denis Pushilin, took place in the capital of the DPR, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Official delegations from the Russian Federation, LPR, the Republic of South Ossetia, the Republic of Abkhazia, as well as political and public figures from Belgium, Germany, France, Finland, and Spain arrived in Donetsk.
This morning the Russian delegation visited the Art-Donbass exhibition complex.
The inauguration itself took place at the Donbass Opera. Pushilin took the oath and took office.
“On November 11, 2018, citizens of the Donetsk People’s Republic showed solidarity and once again proved to the whole world their commitment to a common future with Russia. This is our firm choice and we will not deviate from this path. I consider it my duty to rally the people of Donbass around their cherished goal - to live as one family with the people of Russia,” said the new head of the DPR.
The elected head of the LPR, Leonid Pasechnik, delivered a congratulatory speech.
State Duma deputy from Crimea Andrei Kozenko promised Donbass life in a single state.
“Those thousands of integration ties with Russia that you have provided will certainly lead the people of the Republic to their desired goal - to live with Russia within the framework of a single, great state. I’m sure everything will work out for you,” Kozenko said.
