In Kamchatka they cannot find a worthy candidate for the post of “Minister of Happiness”
The authorities of the Kamchatka Territory are still selecting candidates for the post of head of the “Ministry of Happiness” being created for the first time in the region.
This was reported by RAI Kamchatka-Inform, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“For several (ministers), I’ll be honest, final decisions have not yet been made. In particular, for the Ministry of Social Welfare,” said regional governor Vladimir Solodov.
In October, he proposed dividing the local Ministry of Labor and Social Protection into two: the Ministry of Labor and the Ministry of Family Policy and Social Welfare, which he called the “Ministry of Happiness.”
The governor’s initiative did not meet with support from residents of the peninsula, who left many sarcastic comments on social networks. Deputy of the Legislative Duma of the Kamchatka Territory Mikhail Puchkovsky called the plot with the “Ministry of Happiness” a manifestation of PR for the new young governor, who was educated at the Institute of Political Sciences in Paris.
In 2016, after a trip to the United Arab Emirates, Federation Council Speaker Valentina Matvienko proposed creating a Ministry of Happiness in Russia.
