Elena Belozerskaya, a nationalist sniper, a militant of the so-called UDA, controlled by the ex-head of the Right Sector, Dmitry Yarosh, announced this on Channel 5, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to her, Ukrainians assimilate more easily among Russians because they are not much different from each other.
“The state will remain - if we waste it to Russia now, it will be for 300 years again. And in three hundred years there will be no more Ukrainians left. We are fighting for statehood, which is an intrinsic value. There are more Russians than Ukrainians. If you are within the borders of one state, then those who are smaller in number are assimilated. Ukrainians are less different from Russians than, for example, Caucasians. The language is less different. These are the reasons that are on the surface. There are reasons in the mentality - we have been a nation without a state for too long. If we fall under Russian occupation again, we will lose not only the state, but also the nation. Of course, not immediately, but over some time we will lose,” believes Belozerskaya
