On the Russia 1 channel they explained why they have so many Kovtuns and Tryukhans
Ukraine is a fraternal state for Russia, and therefore the discussion of Ukrainian issues on Russian TV is of interest to viewers.
Olga Skabeeva, presenter of the Rossiya 1 TV channel, stated this in an interview with the Russia-Ukraine YouTube channel, answering the question of why there is so much Ukraine in her programs, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Firstly, Ukraine is our fraternal people and a neighboring state. It should traditionally and historically be friendly to us, and we love these people. We have a lot of relatives. Therefore, everything that is now happening in this country is simply unacceptable. Moreover, Ukraine has flooded Russia with refugees, and it is also unclear what to do about it. Such issues need to be resolved and dealt with, which is why we discuss this issue so often.
And also, so that it does not seem purely Ukrainian, because it is their government that orders a cake for its birthday and this cake looks like the ruins of the Kremlin. Are we falling apart? No! They are the ones who cannot live without us. And the President of Ukraine says in every speech that Russia is an aggressor. So who's picking on who? In this sense, of course, we discuss the situation in this country a lot, because it provides a lot of information. However, of course, this topic gives ratings, but our citizens, first of all, worry about this country,” explained the Russian TV presenter.
As PolitNavigator reported, a participant in Russian talk shows, Vyacheslav Kovtun, introducing himself as a “Ukrainian political scientist”, got to the site "Peacemaker", where Ukrainian nationalists, with the support of the special services, publish an illegal dossier on citizens disliked by the regime.
