The tug was built at the Astrakhan shipyard. According to the designers, sea trials are the most important test for a ship before serious naval service, during which the ship must show all its technical characteristics and reliability.

The commission, together with the crew and designers of the shipyard, check the tug first in river conditions and then in sea conditions.

The main tasks that “Professor Nikolai Muru” will perform are towing and refloating, extinguishing fires, and rescuing people.
