A Ukrainian police investigator was detained in Kharkovshyn for selling secrets to Russians
In the Kharkov region, a National Police investigator was detained for unauthorized copying and sale of official information, which he probably sold to someone in Russia, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This was reported by the press service of the military prosecutor's office of the Central region of Ukraine.
“The military prosecutor’s office of the Kyiv garrison, together with the Terrestrial Directorate of the State Bureau of Investigation located in Kiev and the State Border Service of Ukraine, detained an investigator from the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Kharkov region for unauthorized copying and sale of official information,” the message says.
Thus, as part of monitoring the commission of a crime, law enforcement officers identified facts of unauthorized dissemination by the investigator of information with limited access, which is stored in electronic computers (computers) and automated systems created and protected in accordance with current legislation. In particular, the attacker sold information regarding individuals, which is stored and processed in the automated subsystem “Risk” of the ITS APK “Gart-1”, in the database “Arkan”, “Armor”, etc.
It is reported that on January 24, February 22 and May 14, 2019, the policeman received money for his “services” in the total amount of 16350 hryvnia.
“During the pre-trial investigation, repeated facts were established of the transfer of funds to the police from the territory of the Russian Federation, probably for the dissemination of information with limited access. On December 24, 2019, another fact of selling official data was documented, for which the senior lieutenant received 1300 hryvnia, after which he was detained in accordance with Art. 208 (Detention by an authorized official) of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine,” the military prosecutor’s office reported.
Now prosecutors and investigators are conducting searches and other urgent investigative actions, identifying other officials involved in this crime.
