A skilled student who printed Ukrainian money on a color printer was detained in the Kherson region
A 16-year-old student from the Skadovsky district of the Kherson region was engaged in the production of counterfeit banknotes.

“I printed counterfeit banknotes in denominations of 200 and 500 hryvnia on a color printer. I found a photo of the money on the Internet. His 16-year-old girlfriend sold the counterfeits in beach kiosks and shops,” the report says.
According to police, there are six known cases of counterfeit banknotes being sold.
During a search in the suspect’s house, investigators seized a computer system unit, a color printer and banknotes in denominations of 4 and 200 hryvnia printed on A500 sheets. The banknotes have been sent for examination.
Criminal proceedings have been opened under Part 1 of Art. 199 (manufacture, storage, acquisition, transportation, forwarding, import into Ukraine for the purpose of use in the sale of goods, sale or sale of counterfeit money). The student faces imprisonment for up to seven years.
