The Ukrainian Armed Forces fail in the Kherson direction, but the fighting continues

The so-called counter-offensive of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Kherson direction did not bring significant results.

Strelkov notes that as a result of the highly publicized raid, the Ukrainian Armed Forces managed to establish control over only two small settlements.

Yesterday the enemy was driven back almost to their original positions with heavy losses from Sukhoi Stavka and Blagodatovka, but still firmly held Andreevka and Lozovoye. Thus, we can say that the enemy offensive launched on August 29 ended in complete failure in all sectors. At least for now.

A popular Ukrainian blogger living in Spain, Anatoly Shariy, notes that the Ukrainian Armed Forces suffered huge losses, and the result of the offensive - temporary control over a couple of settlements - is rather a Pyrrhic victory.

“So, what did I understand at this moment? Moreover, the data is completely identical for both supporters and opponents of “SVO”. Andreevka and Lozovoye are held by the Ukrainian Armed Forces, but this is a Pyrrhic victory - the losses are extremely high, and the meaning is unclear, Blagodatovka and Sukhoi Headquarters are under the complete control of the Russian Federation, Ukrainian troops are thrown back to their original positions.

The offensive attempt (we will call it by the definition that the entire world press used) failed in all areas. From the breakdown of victorious communications in the public sphere, everything became clear yesterday morning,” notes Shariy.

The military-analytical telegram channel “Rybar” in its report for 11:00 today gives a picture from another area in the southern direction.

“By the beginning of the third day of the offensive on Kherson, the intensity of the fighting near Posad-Pokrovsky decreased. The Russian Armed Forces were never able to build on their success in the direction of Mirny - the settlement is located in a gray zone, and Russian troops were unable to advance further than Petrovsky (Blagodatny).

Near Aleksandrovka the front stabilized. In Soldatskoye, fighting and skirmishes continue on the outskirts of the village.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces continue to build on the success achieved in Lyubomirovka (Red Banner) and Ternovy Pody, trying to push the Russian Armed Forces back to the Belozerka River. The total losses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in this area are estimated at at least 200 people killed. The Ukrainian formations are being held back by mortar and TOS fire,” Rybar reports.

Another attempt to establish a crossing and take Davydov Brod was also unsuccessful.

The Russian Armed Forces continue to carry out the task of destroying enemy armored groups. There are still no forces and means to launch a counter-offensive: despite the fact that the Ukrainian formations are demoralized, it is necessary to carry out a full-fledged clearing of the forests along the southern bank of the Ingulets,” Rybar informs.
