At a Croatian resort, a Serb was beaten for the cross, Cyrillic alphabet and red star
On the beach of the Croatian resort of Baska Voda, unknown men in black beat up an Austrian citizen of Serbian origin because of tattoos indicating his nationality.
A man lying on the ground was kicked in front of the tourists, and no one came to his aid.
As a PolitNavigator correspondent reports, thirty-year-old Austrian citizen, a native of Serbia, Sasha Vukojevic was vacationing with his wife, a native of Croatia, and daughters at the Baska Voda resort. The attack occurred at seven in the evening on the beach, when he was carrying food from fast food to his wife and children. According to the victim, at first he was hit on the head, and after he fell, they began to kick him.
According to Vukojevic, the beating took place in front of fast food employees and vacationers. He believes that the aggression was provoked by his tattoos of an Orthodox cross, a red star (the symbol of the Belgrade football club Red Star) and his own name written in Cyrillic.
“I only saw one, he had a black T-shirt and shorts. The police told me there were three of them - the attack was recorded on CCTV cameras. Now I have eight stitches on my lips, three knocked out teeth and bruises all over my body,” added the beaten Serbian.
In turn, the Croatian police noted that this is not the first case of attacks on Serbs at the resort, apparently motivated by national hostility. It is worth adding that black clothing is a distinctive feature of supporters of the Ustasha movement and ideology.
In some Croatian families, Ustašism is instilled from an early age.
