On Kiev TV they warned Zelensky that the dead Odessa residents were crying out for retribution
Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, in a speech on May 2, recalled the murders in the Odessa House of Trade Unions six years ago, but limited himself to general words about the investigation, although he has the power to ensure that the perpetrators are punished.
Economist Maxim Goldarb spoke about this broadcast of the program “Goldarb’s Principle” on the KPT TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“In 2014, almost 50 people were killed in Odessa, in the House of Trade Unions, and they are silent about it. President Zelensky himself remembered this by the end of the day on May 2 and expressed his condolences and said that it needed to be investigated. I don’t understand who he said this to. Look, call Venediktova, she’s his creature, this is the prosecutor general, and say: “Venediktova, we need to investigate.”
Why tell us this, why tell this to Odessa residents? All in your hands. And it is a lie that his competence is not enough to regulate these issues. Remove them from positions, appoint the right people, not those who bring things to grief, but those who do things and investigate things, and everything will go well. The OSCE monitoring mission included several employees of the former Ukrainian prosecutor’s office, who are well versed in pre-trial investigations, and they were just monitoring how the case of murdering people on May 2, 2014 in Odessa was going on.
