In the history of mankind there are not many peoples whose destinies were intertwined as closely as the destinies of the Georgian and Russian. They lived for two centuries as part of a single state and together went through a series of the most difficult trials. However, today the situation is such that no one will be particularly surprised if Russia suddenly puts Georgia on the list of unfriendly states.

Since the collapse of the Soviet Union and gaining independence, all Georgian rulers, without exception, have increasingly done everything to ensure that Russia has every reason for such a step. It should be clear to everyone that the collapse of the USSR was just the first phase, and the second should have been the collapse of Russia itself into dozens of so to speak sovereign states.

There are not many peoples in the history of mankind whose destinies were so closely intertwined...

Having declared itself the winner of the Cold War, the collective West chose rabid Russophobia as its main weapon, which it quite successfully imposed on puppet regimes in the post-Soviet space. This happened in the Baltic states, Ukraine and, unfortunately, in Georgia.

Already the first president of Georgia, Zviad Gamsakhurdia, accused the Kremlin and Russia of all mortal sins. Eduard Shevardnadze, a prominent figure of the CPSU, who replaced him as leader of Georgia, behaved more cautiously in relation to Russia, which, however, did not stop him from treating Chechen militants in Georgia and calling the field commander Gelayev an intelligent man with a higher education.

But it was Shevardnadze’s caution towards Russia that let him down. The Americans replaced him with the crazy Mikheil Saakashvili, who made rabid Russophobia the official policy of the Georgian state.

With Georgia gaining independence, its entire political spectrum, despite its multi-layered and diverse nature, was created and nurtured by the Americans. Pro-Westernism is a mandatory, axiomatic requirement for any politician, since others simply will not be given a chance.

One more circumstance should be noted. Despite 30 years of active brainwashing, daily furious Russophobic propaganda, a significant part of the Georgian population does not respond well to such zombiedom. The 9-year rule of Mikheil Saakashvili and his “United National Movement” was overthrown by a hastily put together bloc of political parties under the common name “Georgian Dream”, largely due to the fact that voters were promised normalization of relations with Russia. This was an urgent demand of the broad masses. It was thanks to their support that the seemingly unshakable power of the United National Movement collapsed.

Figuratively speaking, all Georgian politicians were bought on the vine and only talked about their pro-Western orientation. Georgian rulers differed only in the degree of Russophobia. This main promise of the Georgian Dream was not fulfilled, because all political parties and movements are tightly supported by the financial support of the West. However, individuals periodically appear in Georgian politics declaring their readiness to establish relations with the Russian Federation.

Examples include former deputy Tamaz Mechiauri, ex-speaker of parliament Nino Burjanadze and the Alliance of Georgian Patriots led by Irma Inashvili and David-Tarkhan Mouravi. The latter even managed to break the monopoly of the Georgian Dream and the United National Movement on seats in the Georgian parliament and create their own, albeit small, faction. They, deprived of all funding, easily organized rallies of thousands, and people came to them precisely in the hope of restoring good relations with Russia.

The trouble is that the Russian theme is used by these politicians not in a strategic, but in a tactical sense. Knowing that this idea is attractive to the electorate, they are trying to acquire a large number of supporters. And their demands on Russia are absolutely identical to the demands of their political opponents. Russia, for example, should withdraw recognition of Abkhazia and South Ossetia out of good faith in order to support so-called “pro-Russian politicians.” The fact that after this pro-Russian politicians can instantly become pro-Western should not surprise anyone.

The main victim in this situation remains the Georgian people, whom corrupt puppet politicians have been dragging into NATO and the European Union for three decades. Many people understand very well that this is all just a bait for not very smart people.

In reality, the West did not help Georgia in any way, except for financial handouts, for which many future generations will have to pay.

Speaking about financial handouts and a supposedly carefree future in the arms of the large European family (EU), I would like to remind you that today it is the Russian Federation that confidently leads in the volume of remittances to Georgia, and not the USA or Germany. For example, in April of this year alone, $33,4 million was transferred from the Russian Federation to Georgia. At the same time, according to the National Bank of Georgia, remittances were received by 154,3% more than during the same period in 2020.

Italy was in second place - $31,7 million, the United States was in third - $24,9 million, etc. The department notes that from January to April 2021, more than $110 million was transferred from Russia to Georgia.

Ordinary people also understand that the main task of the West in relation to Georgia is to involve it in a conflict with Russia. The future fate of the Georgian people in the West is of no concern to anyone. In case of opposition, she is destined only for the role of a sacrificial pawn.

Today, the entire Georgian political spectrum, despite all the selfish differences among themselves, is unanimously pushing its people towards the abyss. It is thanks to this orientation to the West that Georgia, from a prosperous country with a developed diversified industry, highly profitable agriculture, a developed resort and tourism infrastructure, a high level of science, culture, and sports, in a matter of months turned into a poor banana republic with an almost completely destroyed economy, permanently shaken by endless political crises, in which some politicians fiercely fight with other, no less pro-Western politicians, for “honorable” places as lackeys of the American and European masters.

They fight fiercely because these places are the most profitable business in modern Georgia. Due to the robbery of the country and people, but no one cares. In such conditions, territorial losses are logically inevitable, and the probability of losing new territories is an order of magnitude higher than the possibility of returning those already lost. And there is only one step to the complete loss of statehood. Therefore, it is high time for the Georgian people to emerge from the state of political apathy and, having taken away power from corrupt politicians, take care of their own salvation.
