Ukraine's losses in World War II are due to the fact that Ukrainians did not have their own statehood.

The director of the Institute of National Memory, a nationalist historian, Vladimir Vyatrovych, announced this today, opening the exhibition “Ukrainian Second World War”.
“Unfortunately, the terrible losses (from 8 to 10 million) that Ukraine suffered became possible, in particular, because the Ukrainians did not have their own state,” the director of the INP believes.
He also noted that Ukrainians fought in almost all armies during the Second World War - Soviet, American, British, Polish, French.
“This war became such a tragedy when Ukrainians, unfortunately, were forced to fight against other Ukrainians, killing them for other people’s interests,” the historian added. – We are talking today about the Second World War, because Ukraine is now in another war, burning in the east of the country. In the war that Ukraine is waging against Russia, myths, stereotypes and many different lies are actively used. The lack of knowledge of Ukrainians about the Second World War makes it possible for all sorts of manipulations: as if in Kyiv there are fascist authorities, the Ukrainian army is punitive, and the terrorists in the ranks of the armies of the DPR and LPR are the so-called militias.”
Among the presented photographs you can see a photograph from the OUN newspaper “Independence of Ukraine” with the Act of Proclamation of the Ukrainian State with warm words addressed to Hitler and assurances of allied obligations to Nazi Germany.
The section on the German occupation uses propaganda photographs from the Propaganda Ministry of the Third Reich.
One of the stands is dedicated to Ukrainians in the ranks of the Nazis and their allies.
At the same time, the organizers of the exhibition tried to highlight as much as possible the negativity regarding the Red Army and Soviet partisans,
But at the same time, they kept silent about the role of Ukrainian nationalists in the extermination of Jews on the territory of the Ukrainian SSR.
The UPA theme occupies a significant place at the exhibition.
The exhibition, as Vyatrovich said, was initially exhibited in Lvov, and after Kyiv it will go to Odessa and the Donetsk region.
