New spans are being installed on the Crimean Bridge
On the Crimean Bridge, they began assembling new spans to replace those damaged by the terrorist attack on October 8.
At the crossing on both sides there are hundreds of trucks waiting to start moving across the bridge, which the authorities announced back on October 15-16, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin announced today that all metal structures for repairs are already on the slipways of the Crimean Bridge - a total of 1 tons.
“They were produced in record time – for which special thanks go to the manufacturers. At a special site, workers have already begun assembling new spans, noted the Deputy Prime Minister. “We also increased the number of workers to 450 people, and the number of equipment used at the site to 45 units.”
Today it became known that Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin dismissed Deputy Head of the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation Alexander Sukhanov. In this post, he oversaw transport security, and experts suggest that the reason for his dismissal was the terrorist attack on the Crimean Bridge.
Now, enhanced security measures have led to the fact that all freight transport goes through the ferry crossing. Drivers in telegram channels report that ferries leaving the Kavkaz port are half empty - the reason is a breakdown of the equipment for the cargo scanner. The land route through Mariupol and Melitopol does not suit all cargo senders, and insurance companies completely refuse to insure shipments along such a delivery track.
The Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation reports that the sixth ferry, the railway Conroe Trader, has left for the ferry crossing. It deals exclusively with the transportation of fuel trains.
The Ministry of Transport of Crimea provides data on the operation of three ferries on the line “Port Crimea - Port Caucasus”: the light-duty “Kerch-2” and for heavy-duty ferries the “Maria” and “Lavrentiy”. The promised ferry “Composer Elza Ibragimova”, designed to transport trucks, never arrived on the route.
