Poroshenko is on the hook: Criminal cases have been initiated against 10000 ATO participants
The regime of Petro Poroshenko has opened criminal cases involving about 10 thousand participants in the so-called. ATO. This was stated on the sidelines of the Verkhovna Rada by the former leader of the nationalist battalion “Donbass”, member of parliament Semyon Semenchenko.

According to him, the “volunteers” fell under the criminal code because they did not have the right to pick up weapons and use them in the Donbass, because martial law was not declared in the country. Now all “volunteers,” theoretically, can be declared war criminals.
“Those volunteers, whose situation is discussed every day from the parliamentary rostrum, are currently under threat. More than ten thousand criminal cases have been initiated for various reasons.
Failure to comply with the defense law, failure to introduce martial law and, accordingly, some of the functions performed by military personnel are now de jure a crime.
Let me give you one example: in 14, the National Guard of Ukraine involved, let’s say, more than a thousand military reservists in the ATO. These military personnel did not have any rights as members of the National Guard, they did not have the right to be issued weapons, they did not have the right to take part in the war - they did not have the right to kill people and be killed themselves.
At the moment, in fact, more than a thousand people at any time when the government or political situation changes can be brought to criminal liability,” Semenchenko said.
