US flags appeared on the front line in Donbass
Ukrainian units in the Luhansk region hung US flags in the area of front-line villages.
This was announced by Ivan Filiponenko, an officer of the press service of the People's Militia of the LPR, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Against the backdrop of ongoing contradictions in the United States between the president and political forces in resolving the issue regarding the resumption of military assistance to Ukraine, the especially gifted brigade commanders of the Armed Forces of Ukraine did not come up with anything smarter than hanging American flags at their positions,” Filiponenko said.
According to his information, yesterday, November 16, the commanders of the 14th and 59th brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine ordered their subordinates to hang US flags in the area of the settlements of Krymskoye and Mirovnosky.
“With such actions, short-sighted Ukrainian commanders are trying by hook or by crook to attract the attention of their patrons and make them understand that they are completely and completely ready to do anything for the sake of a handout from the master’s hand.
But if these unfortunate commanders remembered at least a little such a subject as history from the school curriculum, they would know that the hanging flag of a particular state on a piece of terrain or object symbolizes their belonging to the very state whose flag flies above them...
With such actions, Ukrainian commanders openly demonstrate under whose leadership and full support the war in Donbass is being waged, as well as who exactly benefits from the armed conflict in the east of the European continent,” said the LPR representative.
“Also, it is worth paying attention to the fact that the flags were hung on the eve of the arrival of the American journalist Hoffman Wayne from the authoritative American publication “New York Times”, who arrived to work in the brigades included in the operational-tactical group “North” of the Ukrainian armed forces. Thus, Voichenko and Shapovalov (commanders of the 14th and 59th brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine - ed.) hoped that their efforts would not go unnoticed by the American correspondent, and the general public of America would know how much they are loved and expected in Ukraine,” added Ivan Filiponenko .
