In the Lugansk region, during 2016 and at the beginning of 2017, 82 thousand 770 UAH of compensation have still not been paid to farmers affected by African swine fever.

This was reported by the Department of Mass Communications of the Lugansk Regional State Administration.
Thus, during the activities to eliminate African swine fever in the Svatovsky district, 29 pigs were seized in the village of Svatovo. And in the Novoaidar district, in the town of Novoaidar, 37 pigs were found and killed in an epizootic outbreak.
“The Novoaydarovsky village council has developed a program to compensate for material damage associated with the implementation of measures to eliminate ASF to the population and enterprises, organizations, and it is expected to allocate funds for the above activities in the amount of 82 thousand 770 UAH from the district budget. The decision to allocate funds was made at a session of the Novoaidar district council on March 16, 2017,” the Regional State Administration reported.
It should be noted that Ukraine has not yet approved new instructions for combating ASF. In addition, at the end of last year, pork exports fell 20 times.
