This was reported by the press service of the GPU, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“In May 2014, the editor of one of the printed publications in the Luhansk region received instructions from the so-called “organizers of the referendum” in support of the terrorist organization “LPR” to post notes of an anti-Ukrainian nature and public calls for actions to change the boundaries of territories or the state border of Ukraine in violation of the order established by the Constitution of Ukraine in the newspaper “Izvestia Novoaydarshchiny,” the message says.
It is reported that during the pre-trial investigation, the man “fully admitted his guilt in the deliberate distribution of separatist materials, sincerely repented and actively cooperated with the investigation.” Taking this into account, a plea agreement was concluded between him and the prosecutor.
By a court verdict, the editor-in-chief of the print media was found guilty under Part 1 of Art. 110 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (encroachment on the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine) and was sentenced to five years in prison with release from serving the sentence for a period of two years.
