This was stated by the representative of the People's Militia of the LPR, Lieutenant Colonel Andrei Marochko, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We continue to record an increase in the number of cases of desertion committed by members of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the ATO zone. So, in the area of the village of Zolote, three servicemen of the 58th Infantry Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces left their positions without permission and went towards the village. Along the route, the servicemen met a National Guard patrol. After a verbal altercation and an unsuccessful attempt to detain the military personnel, militants of the Ukrainian National Guard opened fire. During the shootout, one Ukrainian Armed Forces serviceman was killed and one was wounded. Such cases are not isolated. We regularly record “friendly” exchanges of fire between Ukrainian National Guardsmen and Ukrainian Armed Forces,” Marochko said.
