An Azov truck hit a mine in the Lugansk region
Servicemen from one of the brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, performing tasks in the Joint Forces Operation zone, handed over an outdated map of minefields to the Azov Ministry of Internal Affairs unit, as a result of which an Azov truck was blown up by a mine.
Ivan Filiponenko, an officer of the press service of the People's Militia of the LPR, announced this at a briefing, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“On July 8, servicemen from the company-tactical group of the eighth special forces regiment “Azov” of the National Guard of Ukraine, driving a KamAZ vehicle, were blown up by an unidentified explosive device in the area of the settlement of Novoluganskoye. As a result of the explosion, three Azov servicemen received mine-explosive wounds of varying severity,” he said.
According to his information, during the work of the commission from the headquarters of the National Guard, which arrived for the investigation, it was established that before leaving, the unit commander received at the headquarters of the 30th brigade an outdated map of minefields, on which the newly installed mines were not marked.
“In the process of investigating this fact, the commission is inclined to the version of deliberate concealment of correct information from the command of the National Guard,” added Ivan Filiponenko.
