This was announced by the official representative of the LPR defense department, Lieutenant Colonel Andrei Marochko, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“In the area of the village of Luganskoye, in the area of responsibility of the 54th separate mechanized brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, it was discovered that a mortar crew and an infantry fighting vehicle were in a caponier for its fire cover. In the area of the Krymskoye settlement, at a distance of three kilometers from the line of combat contact, we identified the location of two self-propelled artillery installations from the 58th brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
In addition, according to information received from local residents, it became known that on the southern outskirts of the village of Nizhneye there is a concentration of enemy equipment - about 13 units. Patrols have been set up to protect the area,” Marochko said.
According to him, these events indicate an impending offensive by Ukrainian troops in the Lugansk direction.
“The measures taken by the Ukrainian security forces to build up forces and assets along the contact line indicate that the Kiev leadership is considering exclusively a military option for resolving the conflict in Donbass. We do not rule out that the enemy is preparing for planned offensive actions,” concluded the representative of the defense department.
