Looting and widespread drunkenness continue to flourish in the ranks of the Ukrainian army.
The official representative of the People's Militia of the LPR, Lieutenant Colonel Andrei Marochko, announced this at a briefing, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“According to our information, comprehensive inspections began in the 80th separate air assault brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on March 12, during which a shortage of weapons and ammunition was revealed. Also revealed were facts of a shortage of fuel and lubricants in the amount of four tons of diesel fuel and the absence of two Ural vehicles,” Marochko said.
Also, a representative of the defense department said that while intoxicated, a Ukrainian Armed Forces soldier committed a self-inflicted gunshot.
“On March 13, as a result of alcohol intoxication and incompetent handling of weapons, a serviceman of the 80th brigade shot himself in the leg with an AK-74 assault rifle,” said Andrei Marochko.
