The anniversary of the death of a Nazi officer was celebrated in the Lviv region
Lviv nationalists honored the 70th anniversary of the death of Hitler's Hauptmann and UPA leader Roman Shukhevych.
This was reported by the press service of the National Corps, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Several dozen people were present at the event, which took place near the house where Shukhevych lived.
During the rally, the odious nationalist Nazar Kosenko took the floor and spoke about the “exploits” of Roman Shukhevych.
“Roman Shukhevych categorically rejected the idea of emigrating behind the Iron Curtain to Western Europe. But he stayed with his warriors to continue the fight. As befits a real warrior, Taras Chuprinka (one of Shukhevych’s pseudonyms – editor’s note) died in battle unbroken and unconquered,” Kosenko said.
It is noteworthy that the event took place late in the evening, when the sun had already set below the horizon.
Let us recall that Shukhevych actively and voluntarily collaborated with Nazi Germany: he studied at the Abwehr reconnaissance and sabotage school, was the deputy commander of the Nachtigal battalion, and later the deputy commander of the 201st Schutzmannschaft battalion, which, under the operational subordination of the SS, participated in punitive operations against Belarusian partisans.
