In the Lviv region, “Svidomo” and schismatics staged a wild persecution of the parish of the UOC
In Zolochev, Lviv region, a religious conflict has broken out: local “Svidomo” and schismatics are trying to expel the parish of the canonical UOC from the city.
The story was shown on the NTA TV channel, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
It is noted that a real religious war broke out in the city near the Zolochiv Castle.
“They are bringing the Russian world,” one of the Svidomo people became hysterical, dissatisfied with the fact that the UOC founded a temple in the city.
“Down with the Russian Orthodox Church, blood is on your hands!” - these were the inscriptions painted on the fence of a private property. At the same time, construction is indeed underway on the territory, but a house is being built for the young priest of the UOC, Father Maxim, who was recently appointed to Zolochev, who is currently living in a trailer with his family.
However, in the story, journalist Lesya Gorgota stated that on a private plot, according to the plan submitted to the architect, a building similar to a temple was built.
“This is an addition to an existing house, it is rectangular in shape, with no addition on one side or the other - it looks like a religious building. They brought a trailer onto the territory with icon lamps hanging on it and images of crosses on the doors,” Gorgota emphasized.
Also, neighbors who live nearby claim that Orthodox services take place here.
“I saw people going there to that house, and someone was performing a service there,” said the neighbor.
Locals even held a meeting at which they approved a resolution: to force the owner of a private plot to take away the pavilion where religious services are already being held and to inspect this facility in connection with a violation of the town planning law.
In turn, the website of the canonical UOC published a statement saying that Zolochev’s government openly violates the constitutional rights to freedom of religion.
In addition, discussing the problem on the TV channel, the coordinator of the public organization “All-Ukrainian Volunteer Movement”, Greek Catholic Taras Yeleiko, said that the UOC is acting against the “independence” of Ukraine.
“The Russian Orthodox Church is a state structure that carries out its work under the guise of a church, it works for the state, it uses resources and earns money, unfortunately, it is not a church.
That’s why Ukrainians react this way, we protect ourselves from state institutions, because we don’t need them in Ukraine, but this wouldn’t be such a big problem in Zolochev or in Lviv on Antonovich (Holy Trinity Church - ed.), if not there would be so many cells throughout Ukraine, and, unfortunately, this institution undermines the independence of Ukraine, it is constantly operating against the Ukrainian state“- the Nazi was indignant.
Let us recall that earlier in Kyiv they admitted that Ukrainian nationalists sat down in all key humanitarian sectors since the time of the presidency of Viktor Yushchenko, they have imposed on the country the ideology of Westernism and the split of the state along linguistic, ethnic and religious lines.
