The Minsk negotiations should be urgently changed to the option of introducing peacekeepers, since Russia could use the truce in Donbass for a full-scale invasion of Ukrainian territory.
Ex-combatant of the Nazi battalion “Aidar”, Mejlis member Timur Barotov said this on the air of the Lvov channel “NTA”, the correspondent of “PolitNavigator” reports.
“It is clear that if this truce works for some time, “shoot” from time to time, as Zelensky notes, but in the end the goal of the Russian Federation is the destruction of Ukraine, therefore, this truce is needed only to achieve some tactical goals . This is necessary in order to keep the noose around Zelensky’s neck, in order to pull this noose at any moment and simply knock down his rating.
The second point, if we are talking about the Minsk format, it is worthless, as evidenced by the current events that are now taking place in Nagorno-Karabakh (Nakhichevan, Azerbaijan and Armenia), they also agreed in Minsk on a truce that has been going on for 30 years, but in fact, the shootings continue, sometimes hotter, sometimes calmer, a truce for a while, and then shooting again, that is, a frozen conflict.
This suggests that the Russian Federation, which creates pockets of chaos throughout the world in order to rule the world, because economically it cannot compete with the world, it creates problems for others in order to then offer a solution to the problem in the form of its own agreements or some kind of bidding.” , - said Barotov.
“Minsk” is worthless, that’s for sure. What other format? It was noted several times, we voiced the Budapest Memorandum, yes - this is one of the options, but I would like to remind you of another option, which was voiced several times by Petro Poroshenko (when he realized that there was nothing to agree on with Russia) - these are peacekeepers.
Peacekeepers are also a way to end the war, or rather the fighting in the East of Ukraine. This is a possible path, and it is much more convenient and profitable for Ukraine, because then we will show the whole world what is really happening, but it is not profitable for the Russian Federation. If they now, for example, withdraw from the negotiations, then, of course, we will need to invite peacekeepers,” the Mejlis member suggested.
At the same time, he expressed fears that Russian military exercises could be the first steps towards the complete outbreak of an acute conflict.
“In fact, I have said this many times, that the Russian Federation never follows one scenario, it launches several scenarios and where it finds a weak point, it hits. And indeed, it may happen that aggression may occur during these exercises, there may be aggression from the Black Sea, the Black Sea Fleet may be involved there,” Barotov warned.
