The Minister of Resorts and Tourism of the Republic of Crimea, Irina Yurchenko, announced this at a press conference in Simferopol on Wednesday.
According to her, the Ministry of Resorts established the number of Ukrainian citizens who vacationed on the peninsula using data from the Federal Migration Service and Russian border guards.
“This is not general data on passenger traffic, these are people who came specifically for the purpose of recreation,” emphasized Elena Yurchenko.
In total, according to the head of the Ministry of Resorts of the Republic of Kazakhstan, about 175 thousand people rested on the peninsula during the May holidays.
