“I don’t count on a lower figure” – Zelensky demanded a loan of five billion from the West
To stabilize the Ukrainian economy, Kyiv needs to receive loans of no less than 4-5 billion dollars, however EC provided only $1,2 billion.
Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky stated this at a meeting with representatives of foreign media, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We had a conversation with EU representatives and agreed on the provision of $1,2 billion and also on separate finances. We are talking about the signal from different EU countries, the USA, Canada and any of our friends and partners.
To stabilize our economy, we will spend about 4-5 billion dollars, I do not count on a lower figure. Therefore, this is exactly the amount we need. But the question is not about the amounts, but the question about faith in the resilience of the Ukrainian economy and about the corresponding signals, this is very important,” Zelensky said.
Let us remind you that earlier in Kyiv they compared situation in Ukraine with the Chernobyl disaster.
In addition, earlier in Kyiv they said that gas reserves in Ukraine have already approached twice since the beginning of the year. to a critical point selection, while export volumes are insufficient to cover the deficit, and the end of winter is still far away.
