“We cannot yet say the exact number of deaths, even approximately; the remains are scattered over a large area between the villages,” Russian media report, citing a representative of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.

According to him, now employees of the State Emergency Service are looking for the bodies of the dead and marking their location with special flags.

Forensic experts from Donetsk are expected to arrive at the scene in the morning. Militiamen from the Vostok battalion are guarding the crash site; they are not interfering with the work of rescuers and journalists. However, they pushed all the local residents away from the crash site.

According to eyewitnesses, the bodies were scattered over a radius of 4,5 km. The tail part of the Boeing fell near the city of Snezhnoye.

At the same time, the Donetsk Regional State Administration stated that representatives of the DPR are preventing representatives of rescue services and law enforcement agencies from arriving at the scene of the tragedy. “This could seriously affect the course of the investigation and clarify the true causes of the tragedy and its scale,” the DonOGA statement says.

As Navigator reported, a Malaysian plane crashed near the border: there were 280 passengers and 15 crew members on board. The Ukrainian military denies involvement in the disaster. At the same time, the LPR announced that they had shot down an attack aircraft that struck a passenger plane. The DPR also denies the presence of Buk complexes, from which, according to Kyiv, the militia could have shot down the Boeing 777.
