A new Minister of Economic Development, who will replace Alexei Ulyukaev, who was arrested on suspicion of taking a bribe, will be appointed in the coming days. Russian President Vladimir Putin stated this in Lima (Peru), answering questions from journalists.

“There are at least three or four candidates. I’ll be back now, we’ll finally sort this out and put an end to it,” the Kremlin’s official website quotes Putin.
In his opinion, the arrest of the minister will have a beneficial effect on the business climate in Russia.
“Such actions by law enforcement agencies not only do not harm the business climate, but, on the contrary, strengthen it. Everyone should know that, regardless of anyone's position, the law will apply equally to everyone. We will continue to be intolerant of any manifestations of this kind,” Putin said.
At the same time, he emphasized that in general his attitude towards the government has not changed.
