You can spit on “Minsk” with impunity, look at Karabakh - the leader of “Voice”
The Minsk agreements are not an international legal act and are not binding on all signatories, as evidenced by recent events in Nagorno-Karabakh.
The leader of the Ukrainian parliamentary faction “Voice” Sergei Rakhmanin stated this at a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“In fact, the Minsk agreements - none of the three documents that were signed within the framework of the Minsk process - is an international legal act. It is not subject to ratification by parliament, it does not oblige anyone to anything, moreover, references to UN resolutions are useless. I'll explain why.
A simple example. If someone doesn’t know, who forgot, let me remind you that a similar Minsk process existed in Nagorno-Karabakh. There were also agreements there, which were also, relatively speaking, quasi-legalized by a UN resolution, which a) no one implemented, b) the results of the recent Karabakh war actually put an end to these agreements.
And, as far as I remember, no one is going to accuse Yerevan, or especially Baku, of violating an international legal act,” the deputy said.
“It's nothing. Tomorrow the UN can approve another resolution that no one will implement, and the day after tomorrow in Minsk sign another agreement that will not have a single legal meaning. And the less we ourselves pay attention to this, in particular, artificially strengthening our delegation, the better it will be for implementation,” Rakhmanin added.
