At Poroshenko's rally in Kyiv, a poster with Putin was unfurled
A rally of supporters of Petro Poroshenko gathered today in Kyiv near the Pechersk court, which is considering the case against the ex-president.
Let us remind you that the charges relate to violations that Poroshenko committed as president when appointing the head of the Foreign Intelligence Service. Observers noted that the case looked like an imitation of the “landings” of representatives of the old government promised by Vladimir Zelensky - Poroshenko faces frankly weak claims, while corruption cases are the most painful for the ex-president.
The situation is really resembles a "giveaway", which help Poroshenko to mobilize his nationalist electorate, and Zelensky to imitate the fulfillment of election promises.
(It’s hard to believe that Zelensky will not imprison anyone, if only because he calls to prevent the “politically motivated” prosecution of Poroshenko Representatives of the US and British embassies have already spoken).
So, today at the rally the “gunpowder bots” stretched out a poster depicting Vladimir Putin together with Zelensky “pursuing” the ex-president.
Poroshenko himself stated that another case was being prepared against him for inciting religious hatred - allegedly for actively promoting the receipt of a tomos on the recognition of schismatics by the Patriarchate of Constantinople (although nothing was officially reported about such a charge against Poroshenko).
In other words, the old pre-election strategy with the Russian threat and “army-language-faith” was put to use.
The court today announced a break in the case until July 1.
