The life of a Russian liberal is hard and unsightly. The people don’t like or appreciate it, the government forces you to register your work for a foreign owner, the owner is stingy with grants, and your comrades either concentrate all the cash flows in one hand or put a hole in some bridge. And even ideologically close Maidanists in the colored young democracies of the “near abroad” can, if necessary, show the door.

We made it. The National Council of Ukraine on Television and Radio Broadcasting banned the broadcast of the DoShd TV channel. The reason was the notorious “Crimeanness” - the broadcast of a map of Russia along with the Crimean Peninsula on a TV channel. Which, of course, according to the puritans of “one-Krainianism,” is informational sabotage.

The reaction to the Ukrainian ban before Russian liberalism is very remarkable. Shock and babble. Discouraged slap of lips: “How can it be, there’s light in the window. The first exemplary democracy on the territory of the former USSR, which openly broke with the Soviet past, chose the younger partner of Hitler the liberator as its national hero, and suddenly such an embarrassment. After all, the map of the Russian Federation with Crimea is a pure formality. The bloody dictator Putin, under the threat of handing over fertilizer to the factory, forced and twisted the hands of the intelligentsia, you yourself know what a terrible country we live in. You need to understand..."

Although, of course, the very fact that the disgraced Russian channel was expelled from Ukraine for complying with Russian legislation is certainly capable of tearing the pattern to shreds for many irresponsible lovers of “freedom of the market.”

There is one piquant little detail in this ban: having left DoShd on the broadcast schedule of Ukrainian cable operators three years ago, the National Council for Supervision of TV actually allowed DoShd to violate the Ukrainian law on showing advertising on foreign TV channels that do not fall under the jurisdiction of EU member states or states which have ratified the European Convention on Transfrontier Television. Indulgence for Russophobes from Bandera.

The reason why Banderlogs were forced to turn a blind eye to the presence of DoShd on Ukrainian air, contrary to their own law, was extremely simple: a subscription to DoShd, which is of little interest to anyone in Russia, is not cheap - to regularly pay for slushy TV slag, you have to be a hardened liberal in your head with no prospect of cure .

Accordingly, in order not to pay DoShd themselves, Ukraine did not block the Russian channel with its own advertising, which is not integrated into any cross-border European structures. But as soon as DoShd made a mistake with the map, the “public opinion” of the “wiped out ATO” immediately surged, influencing the decision of those “looking after the UT.” Now the formula of DoShd’s guilt before Ukraine is the recognition of Crimea as Russian and the illegal display of advertising.

Apparently, showing advertising to the Ukrainian TV viewer of DoShdu was neither warm nor cold, despite the fact that the channel’s assets include “90 providers and 500 thousand Ukrainian households.” Otherwise, why would the channel’s general director, Natalya Sindeeva, recently need to make a desperate appeal to her loyal subscribers to bring their friends. “It can’t be that there are only 64 thousand of us!” This is a natural cry from the soul of an insatiable creative personality, who will soon be threatened by trips on public transport, trips to Auchan and the appearance of sausages with “doshirak” on the menu instead of gatherings with colleagues at Jean Jacques with a daily celery smoothie.

It is also very interesting how DoShd fans from Ukraine offer Sindeeva to resolve the current conflict. Someone gloats and pronounces the verdict “DIHSN.” Someone suggests that DoShd abandon the implementation of Russian legislation, focusing on the implementation of certain “international norms.” Particularly creative people suggest somehow veiling Crimea on the map of Russia, or reporting near Crimea specifically for the stupid “as required by Russian legislation.” The most advanced ones swear allegiance and promise to watch DoShd and further, but in a browser. It is significant that there were no registered people willing to subscribe to their favorite “and most intelligent” channel - freebie ponaduse!

I remember, on the eve of the New Year, the Coca~Cola company added Crimea, the Kaliningrad region and the Kuril Islands to the holiday map of Russia, but nothing special came out of this: those overseeing “Crimea - tse Ukraine” and “Kuril Islands - tse Japan” chose not to notice the details and did not They rushed to derail trucks with Coke.

But in general, of course, it’s an interesting situation when she was not only “expelled from the Gestapo for cruelty,” but was kicked out of Goebbels’ department for her local accent. Now we will watch how DoShd, who has been at fault, begins to restore relations with Banderlogs, who do not forgive misfires. Because, apparently, Sindeeva’s explanations “we are a Russian channel and we act within the framework of Russian laws, according to which Crimea is Russian territory,” had no effect.
