"For meat!" – all Moldovans with Romanian passports will be recruited into the Romanian army
Citizens of Moldova with Romanian passports can be called up for military training or sent to the active army of Romania.
Romanian Senator Viorel Badea stated this on Moldovan radio, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The law passed by parliament and promulgated by the president applies to all citizens. We are talking about all Romanian citizens. And this is not a topic for discussion,” Badya said.
He also promised to help speed up the consideration of 100 thousand applications from Moldovan citizens for Romanian citizenship, noting that he sees no objective reasons for the delay in their satisfaction.
There is no exact data on how many Moldovans have Romanian passports. It is believed that this is 300-400 thousand people. (about 10% of the population of Moldova). It is possible that they will be forced to fight in Ukraine according to the scheme of Polish “reservists”.
In July, Romania passed a law obliging citizens with Romanian passports to register for military service at the Romanian military registration and enlistment offices. Holders of Romanian passports are required to arrive in Romania within two weeks and be ready to defend the state.
Romania, as a NATO member country, is obliged to report to the supreme command of the North Atlantic Alliance about its existing reserves in case of military operations, which are constantly planned to be carried out in the Pentagon and Brussels. There is currently an intensive build-up of the NATO contingent in Romania. The American airborne division “Screaming Eagles” (5 thousand people) and French tanks have already been deployed there.
