At the head of the column were military personnel, followed by hundreds of Maidan self-defense members, representatives of the UOC-KP and the UGCC.
Family members of the victims carried a banner “Remember! Heavenly Hundred. Heroes don’t die!” Participants in the procession shouted “Glory to Ukraine – death to enemies,” “Heroes don’t die!”, “Ukraine above all!”
“We came to remember all our friends, brothers, those who are with us today and those who, unfortunately, are no longer there,” said Ivan “Silver”, who participated in the events on the Maidan as part of the 3rd hundred of self-defense, veteran of the 25th battalion "Kievan Rus".
“Unfortunately, we are forced to admit that on our blood, on our deaths, bastards came to power who do nothing for change, for a better future. We are forced to continue our struggle so that, in the end, the entire burden of this struggle does not shift onto the shoulders of our children,” added the Maidan activist.
The column marched along Khreshchatyk to the chapel on the alley of heroes of the Heavenly Hundred, where flowers were laid and a prayer service was held.
