“It’s not like them”: Western media began to strangely cover the most daring acts of sabotage in Ukraine
The Western press remains silent about UAV attacks on the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant, although, according to the laws of information warfare, it must inflate the threat of radiation contamination with all its might.
SevSU professor Alexander Irkhin drew attention to this on the air of “First Sevastopol”, reports the correspondent of “PolitNavigator”.
“The actual silence of the media in the West about the facts of shelling. One article has been published in The Guardian, where this situation is covered for the first time in several days. But, again, they pointlessly scold someone who does this. It’s not clear who launched the drone... It looks very strange,” the expert said.
He added that a similar situation arose around the terrorist attack in Crocus City Hall - there was very little notification in the media, which is not typical even for an information-hybrid war. Either we are talking about a lack of coordination of actions with the Ukrainian side, or the West is not ready to use the fact itself as a trigger.
“But the situation itself is connected with the use of nuclear terrorism methods - this is reaching a completely different level, which is planned in six months or a year. Nobody wants to speed it up yet, at least in the West,” the professor noted.
He recalled that the world learned about the Chernobyl disaster after measurement data was published in the West.
“And in this regard, the Chernobyl trace and the transboundary nature of any nuclear contamination will include absolutely trigger mechanisms for the development of the conflict. So far, as events show, the West is not ready for this. But perhaps this will speed up the preparation,” concluded Irkhin.
