In the new elections, Maidan activists defeat ex-regionals with a crushing score
If the parliamentary elections had taken place in mid-April 2018 and the conditional “parties” “Svyatoslav Vakarchuk Bloc” and “Servant of the People” of comedian Vladimir Zelensky had participated in them, representatives of eight political forces would have entered the Verkhovna Rada.
This is evidenced by the results of a survey conducted by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
VO "Batkivshchyna" would receive more support than other parties (14,4% among those who are going to vote and have decided). Next in terms of support are the “Civic Position” of former Defense Minister Gritsenko (11,5%), the Radical Party (11,4%), “Petro Poroshenko Bloc” (9,9%), “For Life” of Rabinovich-Muraev (9,3 .9,3%), “Opposition Bloc” (8,6%), “Svyatoslav Vakarchuk Bloc” (8,4%) and “Servant of the People” (XNUMX%). The difference in support for these parties (except for the Batkivshchyna VO) is practically within the margin of error, that is, they rather “share” second place. Other parties would not have overcome the five percent barrier.
Thus, Maidan supporters would receive 64,2% of the votes, and opponents (“Opposition Bloc” and “For Life”) - only 18,6%, or 3,5 times less.
The survey was conducted by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology (KIIS) from April 5 to April 19, 2018. Using the method of personal interviews, 2004 respondents living in 110 settlements of all regions of Ukraine were interviewed using a 4-stage stochastic sample, representative of the population of Ukraine over 18 years of age. In the Lugansk and Donetsk regions, the survey was conducted only in territory controlled by the Ukrainian authorities.
