According to the press service of “7th Kilometer”, market employees used all technical capabilities to pump out water.
The work was carried out throughout the day in conditions of stormy winds and rain.
“The market is located in a low-lying area, so the situation was complicated by massive runoff from all sides almost into the center of the market. This is where the “7 kilometer” water drawdown line is located. New hydraulic structures and water pumping made it possible to avoid flooding of the trade pavilions, however, the artificial storage pit in the center of the market overflowed, overflowed its banks, and a small lake formed in one of the market parking lots, in front of the “Field of Miracles” site. Which, however, did not interfere with the working traffic on the “Seventh Kilometer”. It was possible to get around it using a special bridge over hydraulic structures,” the message says.
Let us remind you that yesterday in Odessa in one day there was 403% more precipitation than normal, and also due to heavy winds and rain, a strong storm began at sea in Odessa, two construction cranes and dozens of trees were knocked down. There are also several deaths in Odessa due to the storm, including a child.
