Thanks to the so-called visa-free regime with the EU, Ukrainian citizens have the opportunity to vacation abroad, covering housing costs with food.
Lviv writer Yuriy Vinnichuk stated this in an interview with Kraina magazine, answering the question whether the lifestyle of Ukrainians has changed recently.
"Certainly. There is an opportunity to travel abroad. Many people are going. I know a family who constantly vacations in Bulgaria. They bring a large bag of nuts - they use them to pay for the apartment. They take lard and sausage with them,” the writer said. - And there are those who tell him: “No visa” - “Oh, we don’t have money.”
