At the parade on the occasion of “Independence”, the Ukrainian military will be dressed in a new uniform – “experimental”
At the Ukrainian Independence Day parade, military personnel of the Ukrainian Armed Forces will demonstrate experimental samples of the new uniform.

This was announced today, August 16, by press secretary of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Alexey Chernobay.
“These samples were made in accordance with the Concept of the uniform of military personnel, approved by the President of Ukraine. A working group, which included representatives of the Ministry of Defense, Volunteer Landing, heraldists, artists and historians, worked on the creation of a new military uniform. In total, about 20 specialists developed military uniforms for almost a year and a half,” said Chernobay.
The Ministry of Defense claims that when creating new military uniforms, the continuity of national traditions and the existing uniform of the armies of different countries of the world were supposedly taken into account.
“Thus, elements of dress and casual uniforms have been developed for privates, sergeants and officers of all branches and branches of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, taking into account the order of wearing them,” says Alexey Chernobay.
He said that new elements of the uniform had appeared that had never been used in combination with the dress uniform before. For example, high-top boots and a belt with a badge for the ceremonial squad. This option is provided for formation only. In other cases, the combat boots are replaced with boots, and the belt is not used at all.
According to a Defense Ministry official, the main advantage of the new model uniform is that the specified combinations of elements are used in the armies of the United States, Germany, France and Poland.
According to a department official, winter and summer versions of the uniform have been developed. They worked especially long on the shape of the beret.
“The concept of a new uniform of the Armed Forces of Ukraine gave impetus to fundamental changes in the Ukrainian army. The stage of testing and finalizing samples of military uniforms has now begun. The final versions of the uniform, taking into account all the proposals and comments provided, will be approved in the first half of 2017,” says the press secretary of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
