“The negotiators managed to reach a number of agreements on the issues of disengagement of forces and assets in the Stanytsia Lugansk area and resolving the situation with the Donetsk filtration station. Representatives of the LDPR expressed hope that the agreements reached will be implemented in the near future.
In addition, DPR plenipotentiary Denis Pushilin insisted on the need to remove heavy equipment from the demarcation line. It was the presence of heavy weapons that led to the escalation of the conflict, and, therefore, the return of equipment to storage areas will help reduce tension on the front line, save the lives of our citizens and our cities from the merciless shelling of the Ukrainian army,” Talakina wrote in her blog.
Let us recall that agreements on the disengagement of forces in order to relieve tension at the front at the negotiations in Minsk were reached earlier. However, every time agreements turned out to be disrupted due to the fault of the Ukrainian side, which found reasons for refusing to withdraw its military units.
