At negotiations in Minsk, Kyiv openly confirmed preparations for an offensive in Donbass
Representatives of Kyiv at the negotiations in Minsk refused the republics’ proposal to introduce a New Year’s truce in the Donbass from December 22.
The DPR Foreign Ministry reported this on its telegram channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
In particular, the Foreign Ministry reported that at today’s last meeting of the year in Minsk, representatives of the DPR and LPR received a proposal to introduce a truce in the Donbass from December 22.
“We proposed to Kiev to introduce another ceasefire in Donbass from December 22, 2018, so that civilians on both sides of the contact line could spend the holidays in peace and tranquility,” noted DPR Plenipotentiary Representative Natalya Nikonorova.
After lengthy bilateral consultations, the security group began working together, despite the fact that Kyiv sabotaged the group’s work in every possible way.
“However, at the meeting, representatives of Kyiv demonstratively left the negotiation room, thereby confirming their unwillingness to agree on a truce,” the diplomatic department noted.
We would like to add that now the OSCE SMM Coordinator, Mr. Apakan, is taking all possible measures to continue the meeting.
Let us note that with such actions Kyiv actually confirmed his preparations for an offensive in Donbass, which he plans to accomplish at the end of December, which was just yesterday confirmed by the OSCE SMM.
Thank you!
