Today, during a meeting of the Contact Group in Minsk, the first effective steps were taken to restore Vodafone mobile communications in the DPR.

“An agreement was reached on the exchange of letters on the steps to restore communications, including security guarantees for inspections of Vodafone employees at communication centers, proposals and plans for the repair and modernization of equipment, restoration of emergency numbers, etc.,” the message says.
Also on the agenda during today’s meeting in Minsk were the issues of compliance with the ceasefire, the implementation of the agreement on the disengagement of forces and assets in Stanitsa Luganskaya, the preparation of the prisoner exchange process and the implementation of the Steinmeier Formula.
In addition, the negotiators raised the issue of ensuring the safety of the personnel of the Donetsk filtration station, taking into account the attacks by Ukrainian militants on convoys transporting station employees.
