At the first “button” Russia was demanded to return Ukraine to its 1922 borders
Historical justice must be restored in Ukraine - it must be returned to the borders of 1922, and the territories with which it acquired during the Soviet Union must go to Russia.
The head of the DPR, Denis Pushilin, stated this on Channel One, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Pushilin emphasized that the rights of its Russian-speaking citizens are constantly being violated in Ukraine and these trends are only growing.
“The revision of Ukraine’s borders is a pressing issue. We are extremely pleased that this issue is being raised. So far in such a discussion - in the form of a signal. However, we see that if with the DPR and LPR the issue of protecting the rights of citizens has been resolved, with the exception of the line of contact and shelling, then in relation to Russians, Russian-speaking people living in other territories - I’m talking about Kharkov, about Odessa, other regions - There's a big problem with this. And we are also puzzled by this, because our friends, our relatives live there, who now do not have the opportunity not only to speak their native language fully, but now they have been erased from the indigenous peoples,” said the head of the DPR.
He added that a number of more discriminatory laws may well appear in Ukraine in the very near future.
“Accordingly, the rights of Russians, Russian-speaking people will be further infringed... We believe that this (the return of Ukraine to the 1922 borders) would be fair. Secondly, we have been demonstrating our intentions not just to talk, but also to do, since 14,” said Pushilin.
Let us recall that previously Russian President Vladimir Putin published an article on the Ukrainian topic, where he pointed out that most of its territory was “gifts” from the Bolsheviks.
