Sevastopol, May 01 (Navigator, Egor Kagorov) - The May Day demonstration in Sevastopol gathered about 30 thousand people - this is even more than the authorities initially expected - for example, the head of the city state administration Dmitry Belik the day before announced the number of participants at 10 thousand demonstrators.

The march through the central streets was led by acting city governor Sergei Menyailo and chairman of the Legislative Assembly Yuri Doinikov.
Everything was in the best traditions of Soviet times: balloons, banners, chants of “Peace! Work! May".
However, as a teacher at one of the schools in the Leninsky district told a Navigator correspondent, the authorities gathered teachers for the demonstration in exchange for a salary: “If you want to get paid today, go to the demonstration. Otherwise – all payments after May 9th.”
The Sevastopol anarchists wanted to pass in a separate column. As one of the coordinators of the movement, Alexey Shestakovich, told Navigator, the administration rejected the application. The officials referred to the fact that the notification had to be submitted 10 days in advance, and the anarchists arrived a day later than this deadline.
However, a group of young people with black flags and banners still came to Nakhimov Square. However, the Cossacks were not happy with their appearance.
Anarchists marched along Nakhimov Street with a chant: “Down with fascism! Down with capitalism!
During the procession, attention was drawn to the column of the Rodina party, the founder of which is Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin, who oversees the defense industry. Walking ahead of the supporters of this political force were the former people’s deputy of the “regions” Vadim Kolesnichenko and the adviser to the ex-Minister of Defense of Ukraine Pavel Lebedev, Alexander Galkin.
Representatives of the Communist Party remained aloof from the general celebration. After the “march of consonants” ended, activists of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, led by deputy Vasily Parkhomenko, held a short rally near the monument to Nakhimov. There were very few supporters of Lenin’s idea - about 300 people.
