In the controlled Luhansk region, only channels from the LPR are available - the Ukrainian TV tower was cut down for debts
“Luhansk Energy Association”, due to debts of UAH 1,2 million, cut off power to the television towers of the Concern of Radio Broadcasting, Radio Communications and Television in the Ukrainian-controlled part of the Luhansk region, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Espreso.TV reports this with reference to Lugansk edition of Tribune.
The Tribune publication notes that as of April 5, six KRRT facilities in the Luhansk region were disconnected from power supply.
Meanwhile, social network users note that instead of Ukrainian TV channels, they now have channels broadcast from the territory of the LPR.
“So what happens? Due to the shutdown of TV channels in Lisichansk, should we now watch Russian ones? Personally, this is what happened to us. There was none yesterday. Today the T-2 was reconfigured and it picked up 8 channels from the LPR,” local user Viktor Gura is indignant.
Local Rush Hour edition reports that at any time the region may be left without the Internet. It is noted that the availability of the Internet depends on the reliability of Chinese generators, through which “providers are trying to maintain uninterrupted operation.”
The blackout of the RRT Concern continues further, reports LEO press service on Facebook.
The Lisichanskaya TV tower of the RRT Concern (RRS-2-RTS) was built in 1970. It has a height of 96 meters, covers the cities, regional centers and villages of the Luhansk region with on-air television and radio broadcasting and T2 digital broadcasting.
