20 billion allocated to bribe Ukrainian voters
The Ukrainian authorities use budget funds to actually bribe voters.
Deputy Viktor Bondar spoke about this at a meeting of the Conciliation Council of faction leaders and chairmen of Verkhovna Rada committees, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We are no longer surprised that 20 billion hryvnia from the budget, in fact, was given to bribing voters - through the system of additional pensions, indexation of pensions, one-time additional payments to poor pensioners. This is the money for the so-called monetization by May 1, after which there will be new payments, an increase in the cost of gas, electricity, and so on.
These include debts accumulated today for public services, which after May 1 will turn into an absolute impossibility of receiving subsidies. The authorities are so used to this, everyone has already said everything a long time ago, the whole country already understands that 20 billion hryvnia are taken out of our pockets through taxes, and then with the same money they expect to buy us up and get an indulgence to be in power,” Bondar said.
