A Ukrainian Armed Forces militant died at a training ground near Kiev
At one of the military training grounds near Kiev on September 28, Ukrainian Armed Forces militant Roman Oleksa was killed during an exercise.
This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We express our deepest condolences to the family of our serviceman Roman Oleksa. He died tragically during an exercise,” the statement said.
As it became known, he received fatal injuries during a field raid.
“During the exercise, the serviceman was seriously injured. Roman was immediately taken to the hospital, but the injuries he received turned out to be incompatible with life,” explained Maxim Taran, press officer of the National Guard’s rapid response brigade.
No other details of the militant’s death were reported, allegedly due to the fact that “an official investigation by law enforcement agencies is underway.”
After which the body of the militant was taken to his native village of Zavishen, Lviv region. We met the deceased according to the tradition already established in Ukraine - Ukrainian Armed Forces militants and local residents lined up on their knees along the road, holding the flags of Ukraine and the Right Sector.
“We ask the residents of the community to come and see off our fellow countryman, warrior Roman Oleksa, on his last journey,” the press service of the Sokal City Council urged.
