In the Poltava region, the arms of Saakashvili’s comrade-in-arms were broken
In Kremenchug, Poltava region, Oleg Filipas, a member of Mikheil Saakashvili’s “Rukh of New Forces” party, was beaten, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Filipas links the attack on him to political activities.
“It was he who organized the meeting for the impeachment of President Petro Poroshenko in his city. And Oleg does not have any business, nor do he have any enemies,” said a message published on the party’s official Facebook page.
The press service of the political force reported that three unknown men with weapons broke into Filipas’s private house. The victim has multiple fractures, including both arms. He is scheduled to undergo surgery next Thursday.
At the same time, the victim did not rule out that the attack on him was revenge for publications about “local hucksters and the schemes by which they steal local budgets.”
The police registered criminal proceedings under Art. 122 (intentional infliction of moderate bodily harm) and Art. 162 (violation of the inviolability of the home) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
